Change in the management of MSC Gate Bremerhaven

EUROGATE GmbH & Co. KGaA, KG has appointed Florian Brandt (44) as Managing Director of MSC Gate Bremerhaven GmbH on a transitional basis from May 1, 2021. He takes over this role from Friedrich Stuhrmann, who will leave the company and join the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) as Managing Director from July 1, 2021. Mr. Brandt will manage the business of MSC Gate Bremerhaven until a permanent successor has been found.

Florian Brandt is no stranger to Bremerhaven and MSC Gate. He has been employed at EUROGATE since 2005, successfully passed through the in-house management trainee program and was already interim Managing Director of MSC Gate Bremerhaven from November 2017 to March 2018. As Key Account Manager, he has since been responsible in the sales department of the EUROGATE Group for shipping line key accounts, among others, with a focus on the Bremerhaven location.

Michael Blach, Chairman of the Group Management of EUROGATE: “We are very pleased that Florian Brandt has again agreed to temporarily take over the management of MSC Gate. He knows the company and the general conditions very well and knows what special challenges lie in the management of this joint venture. In the current very exciting phase for the entire Group, it is very important for us to be able to deploy an experienced and capable manager such as Florian Brandt for this task without any lead time. We wish Mr. Brandt every success and assertiveness in his new role.

My special thanks go to Friedrich Stuhrmann. He worked for the EUROGATE Group for almost 15 years and has always done an outstanding job in various functions during this time. It is therefore difficult for us to let him go, but of course, we wish him just as much success and all the very best in his new role. Fortunately, we are not losing sight of Mr. Stuhrmann either, but are now looking forward to the further cooperation between the HPA and EUROGATE in the Port of Hamburg”.
